Don't we have Texans on this board? I'd say a visit to this workplace is in order. Kilted. Maybe even angry looking.
The only way to deal with this nonsense is to confront it directly. And peacefully.
If you let stuff like this slide, it does nothing to fix the situation. The problem continues.
That said, not all fights are worth fighting. There are occasions where it is best to just move on and wait for a better place to make a stand.
Edit.
From personal experience. Everything for me usually ended in a fight. Any slight against me, my person, my hair, my kilt, was met with extreme hostility and usually violence. Those jerks, there was a time when I would have waylaid them and pummeled them in to submission. I would have pounded an apology out of them.
This does not work. Anger followed through with hatred does nothing. Solves nothing. I came to the understanding that people feared me, but they did not respect me. Anything established through violence is at best, temporary. I realised that my own actions had not won people to the kilted cause... But had only damaged what I had hoped to achieve. Because of this realisation, as well as a few other personal events in my own life, that violence was not the way. Acceptance had to be hard won through humility, grace, and endurance.
I only added this because when I first read this post, my first mental reaction was "Somebody needs to beat the stuffing out of those jerks." I had to correct my self and rearrange my thoughts before I could make my first sensible post. And I guess I edited this one to try and atone from my past actions and offer somebody a chance to learn from the mistakes I have made. Don't make them.
I meant what I said earlier. The best revenge is a life well lived. Go about your life and don't waste a single precious second worrying your self about what those small minded ignorant eejits think of you.
<-- I'll get off of this now. I hope that I have behaved my self in expressing my opinion and didn't offend, but hopefully enlightened.
