OK Gents!!! I'm a bit pissed!! As you can see from the exclamation marks!!! I just received my first kilt from Aussieland in the mail (off the peg Blackwatch) and couldn't wait to put it on. I had gotten my kilt hose a couple of days ago from Hamilton drygoods and so, that's all I had at the moment. Anyway, I put it on and thought.....well, without the belt and sporan, I think it looks pretty good. Lo and behold, my wife looks at it and says "Damn, that looks like a skirt to me!!" She tends to lean toward the narrow-minded side on more than one occasion. I guess I should have waited to show her until I had the rest of the stuff. Just feeling a little pissed off that she doesn't share in the pride I feel in the history and loyalty to my heritage. Sorry, a little bit fuzzy after sending her off to bed by herself and having a few more glasses to ease the sting of non-support. Any suggestions on swinging the other half my way? Maybe not. My 7 year old thought it was cool and is anxiously awaiting his that is being made in Scotland as I write. Hope is in the children to keep the heritage alive!!!!!!!
