Hand Sewn Leatherneck Tartan Kilt Is On The Way!!!
Just got this message from Kathy Lare
"The Marine Corp. Leatherneck kilt is almost done. Just pressing it now and making the flashes. It's really a nice tartan and I hope you are going to get a lot of enjoyment out of it!"
Be still my heart! Just posted the final Pay Pal payment to her after getting that message (Kathy makes it too easy to buy hand sewn kilts, A down payment, balance on completion).
I have a USMC kilt pin waiting, along with a black USMC SSgt. collar insignia that I'm hoping will look good placed near the kilt pin in my late brother's honor. Also have the replica KaBar skein Dubh....
Semper Fi time. Pics follow for sure.
Joy joy joy....I am so glad I held out for the hand sewn Leatherneck (nothing against the less expensive options, this is just one tartan I wanted to do right in my little brother's honor....and yes for you sticklers...my own meager time in the Cold War Corps).

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
