Just finished up my latest project, a leather pouch for a new friend's father's 70th Birthday. He's not a member of X Marks the Scot, so I think I can show the pictures here.

The belt pouch is 4 inches high by 6 1/2 inches wide. The belt loops fit a standard 2 1/4 inch kilt belt. They can be used alone or with a sporran, or for a lady, in place of a sporran, maybe. I'm asking $40, including shipping.

The new feature on this one is that the requester asked to have his father's name inscribed on the front of the pouch, under the flap. I can add that to a pouch or a sporran if anyone wants it.

I've finished three other commissions recently, but I'll let the buyers show them if they want to first. I also made a belt pouch with an Irish Harp for myself. Here is a picture of that one.

There is some really nice work being done out there. The fellow from Russia is awesome in the detail work he does. Turpin, with his convertible sporrans is another talented artisan. I doff my Balmoral to both.

For Church today I wore my weathered Lamont from SWK, with a Lovat Green Argyl Jacket, my brown self-made Rampant Lion Sporran, harp belt pouch, and green Balmoral. My "Country Gentleman" look. Got a nice comment in passing from a pretty 20 something at the PX. LOL! Must have been the contrast with most of the other guys in baggy shorts and teeshirts.

For April 6th, I'm taking the day off. All of my German Workers have a Good Friday Holiday (as well as Easter Monday). It's a 4 day training holiday for the soldiers too. I'll wear a kilt, but don't know what I'll be doing yet.

I enjoy all your adventures, so keep posting!

Regards,
Tom
