That's a GREAT question (does anyone use the kilt as a marketing strategy to bring in business)!

I wear a kilt every day and YES, it DOES help to market my business ("I'm my own best advertising" is my favorite quote). It helps to get you noticed and makes you memorable.

I know that Graham (see above) wears a kilt and markets his company with kilts (He does a GREAT job by the way... I have 2 of his signs).

The Highland Water Company in Colorado got a couple dozen Blackwatch Casuals from us. Their company motto is "Men in Kilts Delivering water". When the owner initially contacted us about doing it, he pointed out that he was doing it as a marketing thing and that he wanted to stand out from all the other water companies in that area... and he DOES!

I've heard of / seen pics of construction workers / electricians / Plumbers in UK's and I'm sure it makes them much more memorable as well.

It's DEFINITELY a way to grow a small business and get noticed without really spending much money on advertising. I'm not suggesting one kilt company over another (or contemporary over tartan casuals or traditionals)... ANY kilt will help get you noticed no matter WHAT kind or HOW MUCH you paid for it.
