Another southerner (US) speaks up
My name is Ken Sallenger, from Columbia, South Carolina. I grew up in South Carolina, and I'm a bit Wallace, a bit Gregor, and numerous bits of other things. It is nice, though hardly surprising, to see a good representation of southerners hereabouts.
I've yet to be kilted, but I'm waiting for a solid cotton canvas from the Scottish Tartans Museum shop. Even though it's not yet here, I feel the desire for more (must have tartan).
As you might guess from my avatar and moniker, I was a music major. I became addicted to software, and have been watching over computer systems for the last 20 years. As noted elsewhere, I'm not skilled on whistle, but modern and baroque flutes with a bit of recorder. I dabble in a little Scots music, nothing organized.
The last Big Adventure for my wife and me was a week in residence at Gloucester Cathedral with our church choir. We saw a bit of Wales this trip, a bit of Scotland on previous outings.
