Dying a Fur Sporran

[AL-58]

I've developed the habit of wearing Black (Black shirt, jacket, vest, hose) with my Modern Buchanan as it contrasts better and helps calm down the brightness. I think that black will work best with the Heritage of Scotland kilt I picked up while in Scotland also. For this reason I'm thinking of dying my white rabbit dress sporran, I'll test dye on some offcuts first (brushing die directly onto the fur to soak it, not dipping it). Has anybody done this before?

Any thoughts? I just think the black looks better against the Tartan than the white.

I've still got "Skippy" for when I want something lighter.
