Pipers Doublet !
Ive always wanted a "proper" Pipers Doublet, however they are really really expensive to have made £300-£600 you can get cheaper but the quality is often poor, there are always second hand ones but they tend to be tatty/moth eaten, As I play on a semi pro basis at functions weddings etc, I dont want be turning out is tatty highlandwear. Ive a nice horsehair sporron and dirk, plaid etc to complete the "look"
this is what I mean
the plan is to get a "donor" jacket and get my mum (she happens to be a genius with cotton and needles and stuff) to make this I dont want it as "flowery" I want the shoulder shells -and I want a hidden zip at the front like many pipe band doublets. It will be slow going as mum doesnt have a lot of time but Ill update when ever.
