Perhaps another 'Convert'
Today during announcements after service my pastor was mentioning that a group was coming to see how our 'strange church' operates it ministries. I mentioned to the man next to me (who I know has a very high percentage Scottish heritage) that perhaps I should were my kilt. He nodded and said that I should wear my kilt. Then he turned back to me and asked' "You have a kilt?" Well, that went into a long conversation after service. He told me that ten years ago he was looking into purchasing a kilt, but could not afford what he was looking at. I gave him this site and some sites where kilts can be purchased. He is pretty excited about it. I hope that within a few weeks both of use can show up to church in proper garb.
P.S. The first time I that my mother saw me wear my kilt she told me that there is some Scottish linage in my father's side. I am surprised that I never knew this with all of the decades of genealogy work she has done. I knew that my mother's side was about 100% Austrian, but I never knew much about my father's side.
