I know I haven't posted in a while. Uncle Sam has been keeping me super busy rebuilding a submarine. Regardless, this little tidbit just HAD to be shared.

Yesterday, the wife and I were at Jo-Ann's Fabrics, looking for some fabric from which to make my forthcoming frock coat for my kilted pirate outfit I'll be wearing at Ren. Faires and Pirate Fests. I noticed some 6 color desert camo bull denim that would make a great contempo kilt. I picked up the bolt and asked my elder son, "Jimmy, how about this for your kilt?" Normally, he is vehemently opposed to kilt wearing. Well... he responded with, "Ok!"
Moreover, he started selecting "tartan" materials to do matching kilts for he and I for Ren Faires.

Today, I paid a visit to StillwaterKilts.com with him. He's wanting an Irish National (they only offer a Thrifty in his size) to match my Irish National Economy), a Black Watch, and a Leatherneck. And he said the Wallace is really cool looking, also.

I'm such a proud father now!!!
