But which museum is it? Cannot recall seeing these things in the National Museum in Chambers St, mind you it's a very long time since I last visited! 
It is the National Museum of Scotland in Chambers Street. There is a modern extension (Prince Charles didn't like it) almost totally given over to Scottish artefacts going back to pre-historic times. Very interesting. They still have the stuffed animals and usual general museum stuff in the original part, and entrance is free which appeals to my Scottish sensibilities.
