Today I got interviewed at my blacksmithing shop by our local TV news station, TV-6. My wife works with one of the main anchor's daughter, and I got asked if I was interested in an interview.

I wasn't kilted (otherwise this'd be in Kilts in the Media) because when we set up the interview they said they might want to show me working on armour. I'm perfectly comfortable forging kilted, and do, but the stance I have to take when working armour means that when it slips (and sometimes it does), it comes down right on my knee. As it turned out, I made a medieval arrowhead. I would have prefered the kilt!

Anyway, it was fun, when the interviewer recorded the little thing that'll be at the end of the piece she put the armour arm on over her blazer and held my in-progress geathelm.

Cheers,
Nick
