The Fastest X-Skirt imagineable
Let's see, I cut it out a while ago, so I can't count that.
Today I laid it all out on the ironing board and ironed in the over-apron, the under-apron pleat, and ten, 2-inch pleats. That took about 2 hours. I pleated it to the stripe, just like Jamie and Lora's, though it's a touch longer than Lora's is...about the same length as the F-H.C.A.G.'s.. Tomorrow I'll finish the fringed edge on the over apron and stitch in the ten fells. That'll take about an hour, maybe 90 minutes at most. While on vacation (I have access to a sewing machine) I'll put in the waistband and the buckle closure. That will take about an hour. I punched holes in the leather strap for the closure last night before bed...took about 5 minutes.
In other words, I think I'm gonna have an X-skirt that's a clone of the one that Girlfriend Jamie and Lora the Lovely and the F-H.C.A.G have for a friend ready with about 4.5 hours of work, total. Hey, it's not the best job I ever did, but she'll have it to wear to the Faire and to Enumclaw, and it's actually looking prety decent, on the ironing board..
If I can get pics next Saturday, I'll post 'em.
