Doublet Style Jacket on the Cheap?
Okay, so there have been posts about getting the one-button Eton style jacket from Uniformalwearhouse.com and modifying it to make a PC-like jacket. I noticed on the same page there was a "Mandarin Eton Jacket". Anyone think this could be turned into a doublet style jacket with some epaulets and the right buttons? I normally thought of doublets as being double breasted, but recently saw a picture of Hamish in one that was single breasted (or at least appeared that way in the pic)
So what do you guys think... is this do-able?
Also, what are options for the jabot? Are they all lace? Are there different styles? Where in the world do you get them?
