This is precisely why I like belt loops on my kilts!! OK, a properly fitting traditional kilt should not require a belt, but I think that if a belt is not worn the kilt looks 'naked' or 'lacking' - unless, of course, one is wearing a waistcoat (when, as we all know, a belt should not be worn!).
Maybe for an hour or two there is no problem, but if I wear a loop-less kilt with a belt all day, I find myself having to adjust the one with the other several times. It is not serious, just an annoyance I can live without.
No, give me belt loops every time!
