I say it isn't a kilt because it isn't pleated. The pleats are screened on. If it was made out of terry clothe (what most towels are made of) and pleated I would think about wearing to the beach or pool.
Good reply. One of the reasons I say it isn't a kilt is because it isn't made of tartan. What is the definition of jeans? Must any garment made of denim be called jeans? Must "jeans" always be made of denim? If we define jeans by the material from which it's made.. why do we not extend the same courtesy to the kilt?
