Well both my boy's will be sporting the kilt this weekend at the Celtic Classic thanks to Get Shirty. I ordered them last Wednesday, they shipped on Thursday and arrived today. Considering they came from Scotland that shipping would give Jerry a SWK a run for his money. The kilts are a rayon/ polyviscose blend that has good weight to it. It is a little stiff right now, but I think it will soften once worn or washed.

I went with the Get Shirty because for the price they were the closest to a traditional kilt I saw. They have two buckles, a sewn down fell, fringe and even sporran loops. I thought about the youth kilts from SWK but they are from the Thrifty line and while I am sure they are good for the money (I do own an SWK Standard) they are missing some of the features of the Get Shirty. The cost for this extravagance...$108 shipped from Scotland for the two; not to bad really.

So anyway, the kilts arrived today and I marked them so I can take them to get hemmed tomorrow. I will post pics of the boys in their new kilts from the Celtic Classic.

Oh yes the boys wanted Black Watch (actually my 8 yo wanted BW and my 3 yo said "me too"), but the kicker was when they arrived today my oldest son said, "Daddy, I wish you had a BW so we could all look the same"...well a few minutes of thinking and a call to Jerry at SWK and I have one of his heavyweights on the way. It was actually just a good excuse to order another one of his kilts. I was so pleased with his standard kilt (for the price) that I really wanted to try one of his wool ones.
