I took the day off because I've had some nasty bug this week. After sleeping all morning and feeling much better, the still-kilt-skeptical wife suggested an outing to the mall. I got the ole' when I kilted up, but hey, a bought it to wear it.

In one store, an older couple (I won't guess their age because I'm bound to offend someone!) came up to me and asked me if I were Scottish, (which I am) then told my wife I looked very handsome and that they we're very impressed. Trust me, that's not a look I pull off easily!

In another store, a lady told me it was the first time she'd seen a kilt in twenty years and wished she see them more often.

Lot's of looks, a couple snide, but over all a totally positive experience.

And the wife did acknowledge that I look pretty good in a kilt. I'll take liberty and say she thought I looked "studly". Maybe not her words, but implied. I took that as a cue to give her my Christmas List! (new hose, brown sporran and belt,...)

Anyway, excellent time!
