I'm sorry for the confusion.
They are two different Pipers.

Here are the badges and Tartans of the Scottish Regiments during the Great War, please note that I have placed the badges on the Regiments particular tartans.
Certain Regiments did back their badges with tartan on Tam "O" Shanter's but not all, I have used this method as matter of convenience and will explain as I go along.
Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (kilted)
Government Sett but was slightly lighter in shade to that of the Blackwatch
No tartan backing was worn with this badge

Government Sett, no tartan backing to this badge, Red Hackle Worn on Tam,
