I'm planning a vacation for next year that my late wife and I always dreamt about but never got around to doing. I'm hoping to take the final voyage from NY to Southampton on Oct. 16, 2008 of the Queen Elizabeth 2. It has been sold to Dubai and will become a floating hotel at their Palm Island Resort. I plan to make the six day transatlantic crossing and stay in Edinburgh for about 5 days, then fly back. Naturally, I plan to bring my kilts to wear for dinner and dancing, so I'm wondering if any of my kilted brothers have experienced the QE2 kilted (or otherwise)? At this point I'll be going as a single, but I doubt if I'll have any trouble finding someone to dance with onboard a ship like that, especially if I'm wearing my kilt! Any feedback about the QE2 is appreciated.
Regards,
RB
