Marton Mills weaves it in 16oz and 13oz wool. I have a swatch of it sitting right here on my desk tempting me. They are rather affordable as far as cloth goes (about $30 a meter US+ Import duties for the 16oz)
They do send free swatches if you e-mail them and inquire. I have some MacArthur material from them and it is really nice. All you would have to do is decide how you want it made and find a kilt maker..or do what I did, and order Barb's book and make it yourself (I suggest trying a few first in less expensive material with her method before you start on the good stuff.)

Who now lists Barb's book on her list of things to grab first in case of natural disaster..it's second only after my dogs (ya and I guess my sisters cat!)
