Just some pics from two kilt-wearings that I was able to enjoy over the holidays.

A shot of my Anglican rector and I after Mass on Christmas Eve:

A week later my lovely wife and I attended a smashing New Year's Eve black-tie party:

A close-up of me in my formal kit (yes, I know many discourage wearing a belt with a vest, but I like the added sparkle of it):

A shot of my friends and family, enjoying the drinks and festivities. Especially the drinks.

Dancing the night away....

It was a grand party! The only buzz-kill of the evening was a dour Scottish woman who approached me during the party to ask about my tartan and, upon learning that it was the Canadian maple leaf, proceeded to declaim that only Scottish clan tartans were true tartans and that I shouldn't be wearing such a venerable outfit with an "artificial" tartan. I helped her to appreciate my more global perspective by relieving her of the bottle of American bubbly on her table under the pretense of protecting her from "artificial" champagne!

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you had as enjoyable a holiday season as I did!

Best,

Cirthalion
