Well, XKilt #3 for me (first one out of flannel, 2nd out of 65/35 poly cotton Black) and looks like I'm getting the hang of it. I cut out and marked it one night and got it completely put together the next.
Both interior and exterior pleats sewn in (some couldn't tell, I guess that's good)
Front shot: I used my old rank as a kilt pin.

Side shot: The back pleats held up well after three car rides and breakfast on my tukas.

Back shot: BTW a pistol belt makes a great belt for this one. I'm very pleased with how the belt loops turned out too.

Pleat shot: You can see the 2" hem for scale.

Lastly, I was about done laying out the pattern when I noticed that this was ACTUAL USMC Digital Woodland. I thought it was the commercial version called "Junglestalker" but these little Eagle, Globe and Anchors (EGA's) with USMC under it were a sure sign that this was the real stuff. I got it at Jo Ann's. Thought it was a copyrighted pattern so I was surprised they even had it at all.
