BoldHighlander, thanks for sharing that. It's probably safe to can a lot of things with the boiling method, it was done that way for a long time, but I wanted to make sure it's brought up for safety reasons... Well, I would think salsa is fairly acidic too, and a little more like the jellies and jams. Boy... I am having flash backs of grandparents and other relatives having storrage rooms full of empty jars waiting for use.
If you do try kilted gardening give us a post or two. I don't think a wool kilt would be the best to garden in either. The canvas is just a whole different beast, and feels right for that kind of work.
