Great line. Unfortunately most industrial diversity training is happy just to keep the racial goonisms down to a dull war. I never expected my machine shop days to be pleasant with two of the macho bullies referring to me as the skirted queer almost everyday. (The only reference suitable on a family forum) The day came when the CEO hired a very young, well proportioned lady as his executive assistant. Her trips through the shop were usually well noticed by the two goons drooling over her, and trying to cozy up. One day she came through at the end of the shift as we all had changed into street wear (me kilted) waiting to punch the time clock and head home. She stopped in her tracks and came over to me and said quite loudly "Clan MacNeil is it?" and I replied " Yes, it is my family tartan." One of the bullies piped up with " Miss Campbell, you like men in skirts?" She yelled it is not a skirt it is a kilt! I am a Scot and that is what real men wear. And Clan MacNeil has been known to have some mighty warriors." That ended the "skirt" comments. ( A compliment from a Campbell - yes.)
