Want to buy husband his first kilt- Help!11
Greetings! I am new to this site and wanted to say hello before I asked for help! I belong to Clan Anderson. I want to buy my husband his first kilt, but I have several questions.
For his first kilt, should I buy him (he is Welsh) my family Tartan? Or should it be one that he would like to wear. I plan to put the money into a nice one, but I want it to be special for him, not me.
Second, we live in Georgia where the heat can get pretty darn hot in the summer. We do a lot of events and family outings during the hottest part of the summer. Which fabric/wool weight is the best for this kind of heat? I am afraid if it is to hot and the kilt is to heavy he may find it to hot.
This will be a big investment for us and we have been thinking about it for over a year. We just cant make our minds up. He is very excited about getting one and finally being able to wear it. I just want to try and get it right the first time.
Thanks for any help! (Working on getting a pic for this site)
