My wife is first generation american of pure dutch descent. She loves the Dutch Friendship Tartan colors and pattern, but unfortunately has a significant allergy to wool of any type (I have to get kisses and hugs before I put on a sweater or kilt or other wool apparel) so she cannot wear the wool tartan. We got a weaver to make a non-wool shawl in the DFT colors and approximate sett, which the weaver retrieved supposedly from the Scottish Tartan Authority itself. Unfortunately what we got was in maroon, black, two shades of green, and a thin pink stripe (the pink is the only one I think is right), which is what she says the STA sett prescribes. From what we see on the DFT website and in pictures of the tartan in use it is predominantly tan, orange and navy blue, with the pink stripe accent. She is more than willing to re-weave the shawl in the colors we desire but without either a piece of the tartan to match (not exactly easy to come by) or someone with the proper color scheme (she has the sett, just needs the colors to fill it in) we are just kind of guessing.

Anybody out there have the tartan who can look at the fringe edge and give us the pure thread colors in the order they appear in the actual tartan? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
