The weather almost cooperated for a very nice beer...err...umm...kilt night on Friday at The Devil's Canyon Brewery. A new X-Kilt was revealed and a we met an old member, and continued to try to get a lurker to declare himself. Panache was kilt checked with style (yes, I'll post family friendly pics), and the children mimed a classic.

So, here's the visual tour....

First (and most important), a new X-Kilt, made by a fairly new member-Farlander. This is made from bull denim. It is a VERY well made kilt and the material is suprisingly soft (apparently a good wash in hot water softens it up nicely). It did wrinkle nicely, so I did not take a straight pleat shot-looked rather unkempt from behind.

I don't think we managed to get a shot of everyone present, but here's a sampling.

Farlander, way2fractious and Keith (he's actually a member as well, but has been absent for a time as I gathered):

This motley crew includes, from left to right: This nice fellow who likes to hang out with us, whose name I can't remember, but he says he's going to get a kilt real soon, at which point I'll try harder to get his name down; myself; way2fractious; Farlander; and Bill (who is a lurker-come on, jump in Bill, the water's fine!). Yes, the picture's fuzzy-I was designated driver, and I obviously did not take the picture did I!?

Another shot of way2fractious and Farlander:

Coming up, kilt and sporran inspections, children hamming it up...

Be well,
