Celebration of Celts
Hello my name is Dame Anne Macpherson, DKJ Grand Priory of the Scots. I am the founder and director of Celebration of Celts, the largest Pan-Celtic festival in the northeast. We salute all eight Celtic nations and their history, heritage, music and dance. We invite all kilted members to come join the two day event. I pour my heart and soul into Celebration of Celts every year, and in our 4th year, 2007 we had a crowd of over 14,000 people who enjoyed everything from the best in Celtic Fusion and Traditional music to over 40 clans and associations, Scottish Heavy Athletics, Pipe Bands, Jousting, workshops, a living Celtic Time Line from 900 B.C. to the Black Watch of 1945. I would love to see as many kilts as possible from X Marks the Scots. But wait, there is more, the Horses of Epona featuring Dublin Gypsy Horses, Exmoor Ponies and a Celtic Horse show. Please feel free to contact me as we need volunteers. The dates are May 3rd and 4th, Columbia County Fair Grounds, Chatham, NY> and there are discount tickets at our website www.celebrationofcelts.com
Both my husband and I are devoted to protecting Scotland, He is a trustee of our Clan Macpherson Museum in Newtonemore, Scotland and also past chairman of Clan Macpherson USA. If there are any Macphersons out there, Macpherson is the honored Clan this year so come march with us. Best, Annie
