    The Texas Scottish Heritage Society put together a little Tartan day ceremony at Houston City Hall this morning, (April 11th) There was a proclamation from the mayor and some speeches etc.. Here are a couple pictures:

    Here's our city hall, actually the second city hall, built in 1938, the facing is native limestone, you can see shells and seabed fossils in it. The doors and other metal accents are aluminium.

    here are some of the Tartan displays inside the visitors center.

    General Sam Houston .

    the organiser, Sia Beaton wearing the Texas Bluebonnet Tartan;

    some members of the world famous St.Thomas Pipe and drum corp.
