A new kilt- And having been inspired by Hamish.
Well, my Heritage of Wales kilt arrived a while back and my Mum kindly altered it so that it wasn't too long for me.
The Kilt, or I suppose Cilt, is much better quality than I expected.
It's heavy duty acrylic and I'd say it's almost 16oz. Smoother than it looks in the pictures below and comfortable to wear.
There are 31 pleats in the back and they are all very crisp.
Overall the kilt looks really good and feels really good to wear.
After being morbidly obese for a long time and losing all the weight I put a bit more than I'd like back on after injuring my back and then getting my neck cracked when I got mugged.
So taking inspiration from Hamish's Ardbeg Kilt I made a point of ordering one in the size I was before and it's hung up on my wall to remind me to go to the gym and lose the extra pounds.
The plan is to fit into it before I fly over to America.
I'd highly recommend a Kilt from the ebay company MyTartan. The product is great and the customer service was fantastic.
