For those who have a clip style suspenders could you sew a tab on the inside of the kilt to clip on to? This would be like having a button on the inside.
I also have some convertible suspenders the clips can be replace with a strip of leather with a button hole on each end. This slips through the end of the suspenders and button to the kilt.
Thanks for the link Cacunn. Unfortunately the hidden tailors belt only comes up to size 43 inch waist---some of us clydesdales are a wee bit stouter than that. May have to try the no-slip rug pad technique if I can figure out how to make it work without compromising the integrity of my tanks.
