He's wearing the Red Graham (aka Red Montrose) tartan -- a very unusual variation of the Graham of Menteith. The STA notes for the tartan say it was woven in 1984 as a special request from an American. Now it shows up on a (presumably) Scot in 2007! I wonder if he specifically requested the tartan, or just stumbled upon it? I do note the fellow next to him is also in the Graham of Mentieth tartan. Neat.
