My God man - who married you - Moses? I love the first photo of you and your mates - wonderful. Congratulations and thanks for posting the photos.

No, No Moses, but he does look the part.

I'm curious too. Who's the bearded gent in the robe? He doesn't dress like any clergyman I've ever seen.

He is my uncle. He was always a little marginal in his choices of celebrating, by his hairstyle, his clothing...

Actually, he's simply wearing a really cool cope (cape) over an alb (white robe) which are the proper vestments for a service not involving celebration of the Eucharist.

He is full of cool stuff like that. Ha also has some of the more "formal attire", but most of it was donated to the Abbaye de St-Benoit-du-Lac when he retired a few years back.

I would just think that white would have been a more appropriate color for the occasion, but, hey, I don't pay the bills at that church.

Green is the color of the Ordinary Time (not sure about translation... temps ordinaire) And I didn't have to pay ;o)

Congratulations; many blessings! Unusual Vestments on the Clergy, (A tartan type Cope ?) but interesting effect nonetheless. And I'm sinfully covetous of his hair......

You could always ask him for it!

Actually I don't think it's tartan, just a modernistic style of coloring.

It's not a tartan, it is solid green with some reliefs woven into it.
