drawing Belted Plaid/great Kilt
Has anyone here tried putting the drawstring loops on the OUTSIDE?
I did a "trial-run" , of putting drawstring loops, on the inside, but found that it didn't close the aprons. After removing the (safety-pinned) loops from the inside, I tried (after hand-pleating) laying on the material, with a drawstring, on the outside ( no loops - just using like a belt), and found that ( for me) it works better. Think I'll sew the drawstring loops on the outside, and not worry too much about matching the tartan on the material, with the loops, as they would be covered by the belt, later, anyway. Anyone already tried this?
