It's in Flemish and it's not an historical article. Rather, person is talking about what (s)he sees in Merlin's crystal ball and something about King Arthur and the author interacting with the Visigoths (I think they're smoking a pipe, but my Flemish is rather bad). Oh well; so no evidence there.

I will say that Germanic tribes tended to wear pants, as has been noted above, but at various times, various tribes allied themselves with various other people. Perhaps some Visigoths wore belted tunics or something that resembles a kilt; any clothing experts care to enlighten us?
