I thought the same myself until I went for a fairly long (6 miles) and hot (sweaty) hike. Found areas rubbing that I didn't notice before.
Also, I'll second (third?) the need for a hat (and sunscreen) and staying hydrated. The humidity is almost nonexistent here, so you won't always feel like you are sweating (it evaporates too quickly), thus you don't realize how much water you are losing.
