I'm in a Renaissance Highlander living history group, and that has been the source of some debate. We started out going barefoot, but in the middle of a Colorado summer, that turned out to be rather impractical.  So GlamrockDJ, I'd be really interested to see any pictures you may have.
Yes, the moggans. I've worn them, but with footwear that are similar to moccasins.
