Howdy! from Austin TX, USA
I'm happy to come out of 'lurkdom' and register. I've been interested in kilts for awhile, but didn't know whether it was a look that I could pull off. I'm not Scottish, so being kilted is a comfort and fashion choice for me. I had to check out two things: whether it would be insulting to wear them with no heritage, and whether I'd look like a fool in them!
So I tried on a Utilikilt® at the local Celtic shop last weekend and liked it. I was at the square dance convention at which Meinfs wore his first handmade kilt, and many of the guys there told me how comfortable they are for dancing. Now I'm hooked, and am eagerly waiting for Barb's book to arrive so that I can start planning my first tank!
This is a great network! You provide extremely helpful information as well as keep the interest and excitement very high. Thank you, Sirs!
