Rocky Mountain Highland Games...Crash Pad?
The 45th Annual Rocky Mountain Highland Games are coming up in about two weeks, and I have perhaps a strange request... I'm limited on funds and I've decided that I'll probably skip Saturday's day-events, and just attend the ceilidh at the Marriott, so that I can attend all of Sunday's events (can't afford both days AND the ceilidh, unfortunately.) Anyway, I know this is a weird request, BUT...if I go to the ceilidh, I'd rather not have to drive all the way back to Lakewood afterwards (and I probably won't want to anyway.) This may be a long shot, but is there anyone in the DTC area that might be able to let me crash on their couch (or floor, or walk-in closet or dog house) on Saturday night (Aug. 9th.?) I can sleep in the weirdest of spaces if necessary (except for the dirt-floor crawlspace, cos I just don't dig spiders caravanning over me in the middle of the night!) I'll provide my own pillow and blanket, so basically I'm just looking for a sheltered place to sleep for a few hours (I can deal with a potential dog-grundle or cat-on-the-chest, but I'm not always able to sleep in my car very well...although I'd even consider sleeping in my car if you've got a car-port or even a driveway I could park in. Cops just seem to be really wary about people sleeping in their cars on public property. And having a police officer knocking on your window at 5am is REALLY unsettling! I've been there!) Thanks!
