back again
Although I'm fairly new on the Board, I had posted off and on through the spring, then dropped off the face of the earth. Back again to enjoy the chatter and info. As an 18th century Highland reenactor, I was involved with the Fort Ticonderoga reenactment and also the Fortress Louisbourg event (Nova Scotia) and now have a few weeks off before heading to Oswego, New York to Fort Ontario for the Jacobite event. I was Sjt. Majoring at Ti and Louisbourg.... always a great sight to see a kilted man in front of all the troops (700 at Ti) and my lads of the 77th Grenadiers sure looked smart!! At Fort Ti there were almost 100 Highlanders to assault the French abatis. We also marched to the 42nd Cairn and presented honours for our fallen comrades of 1758. If anyone is in the neighborhood of Ft. ONtario at the end of this month, stop in to see us. Slainte' mhath! Malcolm MacWm.
