It's split pretty even around here, as far as people that speak up.

Obviously you get a lot of stares and laughs and adolescent females snapping cameraphone pictures, but when someone comes out and says something it's usually pretty positive. The most common question is "what tartan is that" or something to that effect. I usually get into a conversation about it with cashiers at stores and fast food places.

My favorite comment was when I was wearing my SK Braveheart in the lobby of my wrestling arena, and a fan, a man in his thirties or so, asked me if it was an Irish kilt. Assuming he knew a bit more about kilts than your average person (as most don't know there ARE Irish kilts), I replied to the contrary, joking that since I was Scottish it was technically a Scottish kilt.

At this, his face scrunched up and he got a very confused look on his face as he replied, "I thought Scottish kilts were red?"
