All I have is;
Paternal Great Grandparents are "Harris" from Wales -or Cornwall, I've heard both. Maternal Great Grandparents are "Stewart" from Scotland, a dime a dozen, I'm sure. My Great Grandmother, Annie Elizabeth Stewart was the only generational survivor from both familes and died in 1954 when I was ten years old.
My mothers maiden name is Harris and she thinks thay are from Wales. But I have also heard Ireland in conversation. I have someone in my family who has traced the Harris line back to slave times in Mississippi. I would just like to know what country they came from.
