Just over a month ago I joined up to this board and let you all know that I was to be married and that I would be wearing a kilt, naturally.

Well, now I'm married and back home in Dublin. The wedding was great and we all looked great too, if I do say so myself.

Pictures can be found here: http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=...localeid=en_US You do have to register to see them, but it's a relatively straightforward process.

You may notice the lack of a sporran as the evening progressed. There is a technical reason for this. I purchased a very nice seal skin dress sporran in Edinburgh specially for the wedding - it was very expensive. After doing a bit of research I learnt that I would probably get it confiscated by US customs due to import restrictions on seal skin. Not wanting to loose such an expensive item, I rented one from a US based kilt hire store. The sporran they sent me had seen better days and actually fell apart just after the service, hence the lack of a sporran in the later pics. Just as well it didn't during the service!

I wore the kilt several time on honeymoon in Aruba, it went down a treat with the locals.
