Pipes and Kilts
I have noticed looking through the various threads here that a number of our rabble are pipe smokers, at least in appearance. I am have my curiosity up now since I have been smoking my pipes for about 12 years now, and smoking them with a kilt for 3 years. How many of you out there smoke a pipe? what is your favorite; pipe, tobacco, tamper and lighter? As for myself I have two pipes that I love, one was a gift, a Bjarne that has lived in a pocket of my daily jacket for almost ten years and a hand carved Caminetto that I got for myself about three years ago. My tamper is just a small round piece of black oak that I picked up backpacking and kept using, and my lighter is a Corona "Old Boy" that is over ten years old and has never missed a light. The tobacco that I prefer in company is a Virgina burly called Windjammer, and when the fairer sex is not around a nice Dunhill 965. One of the best things abotu when i started wearing a kilt was this all fits in the sporran with my wallet, key and cell. To our Mods if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it. I view it as an accessory but others might not.
