At The Museum
I am a volunteer at the Auburn, Cord, Duesenburg Automotive Museum in Auburn, IN. I volunteer there as a gallrey host and docent plus other odd jobs. There is a dress code when I am a gallery host or docent so no kilt then. Every month there is a volunteer meeting and I usually wear a kilt to the meeting. Also, if I am there 'off of the clock' I am in a kilt. Well, yesterday was a specail Halloween event for children and all of the volunteers were asked to 'dres up' for the occation. Well, my version of 'dress up' was to work at the museum and wear a kilt. I wore my wool Black Watch with flashes and a white Oxford shirt. The best comment that I had was from another volunteer who is used to seeing me in a kilt. When she saw me arrive she laughed and said' "where is your costume"? I love it.
