May I take this opportunity to formally introduce myself.
I have been a member of this group since August and I have really enjoyed my time here.
My name in Bradley K. Powell, from North Ogden, Utah, which is about 50 miles north of Salt Lake City. I am married, 59 years old, my wife and I having raised 3 boys and 1 girl. I generally go by Brad, so don’t call me Mr. Powell.
Yes, I know Powell is not a Scottish name but my grandmother was a Pinkerton, part of the Campbell clan. My wife’s grandmother was a Montgomery, some of the first settlers of this part of Utah that came from Scotland in the 1850’s. My wife shares my interest, however, she has had a hard time seeing me in a kilt. (I tell her that she is sooo English ). My kids don’t have a problem with me wearing a kilt. They think it’s great.
For as long as I can remember, I have had an interest in Scottish and Celtic things. I enjoy the sound of the Pipes and Drums, and Highland Games.
I own 5 kilts and the items that go with them. (2 UKs, 1 Sportkilt, 1 SWK and 1 Mountain Hiking kilt). I wear them at home and around town, and I enjoy the freedom that they provide when hiking the mountains of Northern Utah, the Canyonlands of Southern Utah or just going to the hardware store. Hopefully, I will add to my collection, I have my eye on a USA kilt right now.
I would like to extend a thank you to my friend Shawn, who lives just down the street and has been a member of this group for some time.

Thanks for your time and be kind,
Brad
