Yes, I seldom come up with anything constructive with which to start a new thread, so I order another kilt and then, at least, I can post photos when it arrives.

It is with some joy, therefore, that I am pleased to announce the arrival earlier to-day (Saturday) of No.94 in The Kilt Kollection.

"What can it be?" I hear you asking. Well, I'll not beat about the proverbial bush - I will get on with it straight away and tell you that this new kilt represents, in the Kollection, the sixth of the seven Celtic nations: The Isle of Man. Yes folks, I give you the Manx Hunting tartan in beautiful kilt form:

It is an 8 yard kilt and the beautiful fabric is a 13oz, 100% woollen worsted tartan. The kiltmaker's name is unknown to me but it was tailored in Peel, Isle of Man by 'ManninKilt' of Celtic Gold Ltd ( http://www.manninkilt.co.uk ). This lovely kilt is obviously entirely hand sewn, has a triple fringe, and I am really very pleased to have it.

Unfortunately, the colours are not the easiest to co-ordinate from within my Accessories Kollection (!) so I will have to go shopping soon. In the meantime, I am able to wear those good-old standbys, beige shirt and hose with it!

The 8.5cms kilt pin is in solid silver and is decorated with the emblem of the Isle of Man, the Three Legs:

The seventh, and last, Celtic nations tartan is the 'Galicia', but I may now have to wait until next year before ordering it!!

Take care,
Ham.
