Good point... I do have a leather sporran strap that I use when I'm going more casually (I have it on my Nightstalker sporran at the moment), but it would have complemented this look a bit better. I like the chain look, but being very small-waisted, I have to take up a lot of slack on any chain I use. This one hasn't caused any damage to my kilts, but I can see the possibilities. I may try taking up more of the slack on the chain and then letting the strap itself out a little more to compensate for the difference. It'll look a bit better if I do that anyway. A couple pair of needle nose pliers and you can remove excess links in the chains. That's worked for me.
