More details on making a sporran
Hello all!
I hope you will excuse me since I am still new at this. I am a person that has only recently started wearing a kilt. I just received J. Charles Thompson's book about wearing kilt. Once I read the part on sporrans, I realized that I need a different one. However, they are all to expensive (at least the ones I want) so I am embarking on a journey to make one of my own. When I look at the one I have, the basic construction does not look that different. However, mine is not a formal sporran, and that is what I want to make. I have some quality fur to use, but I don't know where to start. I am just wondering if anyone out there is willing to give a newbie some basic advice on what to do. Thanks!
Brice
